The Bear Minimum Campus Thrift Store located in the Jubilee Center is looking for assistants. This is a Federal Work-Study position that supports the daily operations of the campus thrift store while promoting affordability, sustainability, and student engagement. The student employee assists with customer service, inventory management, merchandising, and store operations, helping create an organized, welcoming shopping experience for the campus community.
Responsibilities and Career Competencies
• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. (C, P, CTR)
• Receive, sort, inspect, and organize donated merchandise according to store guidelines. (P, CT, TW)
• Price, label, display, and restock merchandise while maintaining organized sales areas. (P, CT, CSD)
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process transactions. (P, T, CT)
• Assist with inventory, donation records, and basic data entry. (T, P, CT)
• Promote Bear Minimum through events, social media, and campus outreach. (C, T, L, CTR)
• Support sales, donation drives, special events, and sustainability initiatives. (TW, L, CTR)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. (P, TW)
• Collaborate with supervisors, volunteers, and student employees while demonstrating dependability and responsible stewardship. (TW, P, CSD, CTR)
