The Brasserie is an award-winning 80-seat fine dining restaurant in Grand Cayman with a fantastic reputation for its farm-to-table cuisine. Adjoining the restaurant is an upscale bistro-style market and coffee shop, an outdoor juice bar, and a quick, casual open air BBQ joint. Brasserie Purveyors is an innovative distributor focusing on specialty beverages such as fine wines and small batch spirits, supplying our outlets and discerning clientele.
The Barista is responsible for delivering an exceptional café experience by preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso-based beverages and teas.
This role plays a key part in the smooth day-to-day operation of the café by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining product knowledge, supporting retail sales initiatives, and ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or bagels.
• Ensure customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently.
Education & Experience
• Associates degree/diploma in hospitality or related field
• A minimum of 2 years in a previous Food and beverage administration position
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of F&B operations
• Positive attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use discretion about confidential matters
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage one's own time and the time of others
• Ability to deal with challenging behaviors and conflicting priorities as necessary
• Have working knowledge of various computer software programmes (MS Office and restaurant management software, including MICROS POS, Systopia, OpenTable, and Tripleseat)
