About the Role

Wilson Utility Helicopters is looking for a compliance-focused leader to own the operational integrity of our commercial fleet. This role ensures that every WUH driver, vehicle, and program meets DOT and hazmat requirements while supporting field operations with proactive scheduling and communication.

The ideal candidate brings sharp organizational skills, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to support drivers professionally while enforcing standards.

Key Responsibilities

DOT & Regulatory Compliance

• Maintain DOT driver qualification files and required documentation

• Administer medical card compliance: pre-employment, annual, and random testing

• Manage pull-notice program and driver record accuracy

• Track hazmat registrations and ensure all compliance requirements are current

• Lead DOT audit readiness — internal and external

• Develop improvements to reduce violations and maintain a high safety standard

Fleet Compliance & Maintenance

• Own maintenance scheduling for fuel trucks and ground support vehicles

• Track usage, inspections, and repair records

• Ensure vehicle readiness before mobilization and long deployments

• Coordinate with vendors for repair, inspection, and service support

Driver Requirements & Training

• Track and schedule all driver compliance training and endorsements

• Support onboarding: system setup, qualification verification, documentation

• Monitor driver performance through compliance metrics and reporting

• Provide coaching on safe and compliant operations

Systems Oversight

• Administer Samsara (or similar) fleet compliance and monitoring tools

• Monitor DVIRs, hours-of-service, and telematics alerts

• Ensure timely and accurate data entry for fleet records

Scheduling & Field Support

• Coordinate driver dispatch requirements with Operations

• Publish schedules that align with aircraft mobilization timelines

• Travel to field locations as needed for verification and support

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required (tanker & hazmat endorsements preferred)

• 3+ years in fleet compliance, trucking logistics, or related field

• Strong knowledge of FMCSA / DOT regulations and hazmat handling requirements

• Familiarity with compliance systems (Samsara preferred)

• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Ability to work in outdoor/remote field environments

• Willing to travel 50%+ across CA, OR, and NV as required

Preferred Experience

• Utility construction or helicopter support operations

• Leadership in a field-support or dispatch environment

• Fuel handling experience

$33-$38 DOE
