Reedsburg Area Medical Center is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our Environmental Services team as a Housekeeper II. This hands-on role includes a variety of responsibilities, from routine cleaning and floor care to special projects and security support, all while helping create a safe and welcoming experience for everyone who enters our facility
Schedule:
Hours: 6 AM-2:30 PM
Rotating weekends and Holidays
What you'll do:
The Housekeeper II performs specialized housekeeping duties and projects to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility. This position also assists with general security responsibilities
Education and Training Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Carpet and floor maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous security experience helpful.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Be dependable and comfortable working independently.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to organize tasks, establish priorities, and solve problems independently.
• Be comfortable operating cleaning and floor-care equipment.
• Have strong teamwork and customer service skills.
• Be able to understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Continuous walking
• Frequent standing while performing tasks
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Frequent pushing or pulling of up to 25 pounds
• Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, and ramps
• Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, twisting, and balancing
• Occasional reaching overhead and in front of the body
• Ability to bend and shovel snow as needed
• Frequent use of equipment controls, levers, knobs, and switches
• Occasional handling of equipment such as flashlights and security wands
Potential Hazards:
OSHA Blood Borne/TB Classification Class II – Occupational exposure to blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIMs) is reasonably expected to occur in routine performance of duties.
Continuously exposed to needles/syringes/sharps, waste handling (general trash) and red infectious waste.
Frequently exposed to toxic/caustic chemical hazards & hazardous waste.
