About this role
Would you love to turn laboratory and process data into decisions that shape how food is made? Then join us, take on real bioprocess related analytical and data challenges, and continuously push beyond what was deemed impossible. And work in an energetic, highly ambitious, and international scale-up environment designing the processes and factories of tomorrow. Let´s change the world together!
Tasks
• Support the I&D team in collecting, structuring, and analyzing data from upstream and downstream processing activities.
• Spend hands-on time with laboratory-scale bioreactors, shake flask cultivations and microtiter plates, so you understand how your data is generated and what it means physically.
• Build reproducible pipelines in Python and SQL to clean, join, and analyze data from colorimetric, HPLC, and enzymatic methods as well as from the bioprocessing PLC.
• Perform statistical analysis, visualization, and reporting of experimental and process results, including dashboards and KPIs the team uses day to day in order to build up general process knowledge.
• Prototype and evaluate machine learning or statistical models.
• Follow the SOPs in place and suggest continuous improvements to data capture, documentation, and analysis workflows.
Requirements
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or scientific field — Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Bioprocess or Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, or related — with a genuine passion for working with data and knowing the potential value of it.
• Solid working knowledge of Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL; hands-on experience with scikit-learn or comparable ML libraries is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and logical thinking — comfortable working through equations, designing algorithms, and breaking problems down into solvable steps, with the creativity to find non-obvious approaches.
• Curiosity about the physical process behind the numbers — you want to know what a model or a chart implies for a real bioreactor run.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ownership and accountability mindset
• You are passionate about sustainability and improving our food system
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written)
