Job Summary
The part-time Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and helps provide a positive employee experience. This position assists with a variety of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee records, benefits, payroll and timekeeping, training, compliance, and employee engagement. The coordinator serves as a resource for employees regarding routine HR questions and processes and works closely with the Director of Human Resources on department priorities and projects. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
Core Responsibilities
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, pre-employment requirements, new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee offboarding.
• HR Administration & Employee Records: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS information; process employee changes; assist with HR documentation, reporting, audits, and general department administration.
• Benefits, Payroll & Timekeeping: Assist with benefits administration, Open Enrollment, retirement plan administration, payroll preparation, timekeeping questions, and related employee changes and records.
• Employee Support: Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding routine HR questions, policies, benefits, HR systems, and procedures, referring complex or sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources.
• Training & Compliance: Assist with employee training, performance review administration, required certifications, HR compliance, workers' compensation documentation, leaves of absence, and other HR requirements.
• Employee Engagement: Support employee recognition, wellness, appreciation, communication, and other employee engagement initiatives and events.
• HR Projects & Department Support: Assist with HR policies, procedures, reports, special projects, and other department initiatives. Responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs and the employee's knowledge and experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and follow through on assignments.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HRIS, payroll, and other HR technology.
• Interest in continued learning and professional growth within Human Resources.
Knowledge & Experience
• Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Prior administrative, Human Resources, business operations, or related professional experience.
• Experience working with confidential or sensitive information.
• Human Resources experience and familiarity with HRIS, payroll, benefits, recruitment, or onboarding preferred.
• BambooHR experience preferred but not required.
• Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to move throughout the campus and attend meetings and employee events.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Occasional evening, weekend, outdoor, or offsite work may be required.

This is an hourly, non-exempt, non-essential, part-time position. The successful incumbent may be required to perform tasks beyond the scope of this job description as requested by the supervisor. This recruitment may be used to select candidates for additional open positions. It is our policy that all team members, including newly hired, transferred, and promoted team members, will be carefully monitored and evaluated for an initial introductory 3-month period on the job. After satisfactory completion of the introductory evaluation, such team members will be evaluated on an annual basis.
