Level 2 Adult Care Worker – Lincolnshire House Association
We are seeking an Adult Care Worker. We provide high-quality residential accommodation for 35 residents with day and 2 respite care facilities for people who have some form of Cerebral Palsy. Our aim is to provide as full and varied a life as possible for people in our care.
Apprenticeship Overview:
• Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
• Working Week: Monday to Sunday between 7am – 10pm (days and shifts to be confirmed)
• Hours:30 hours per week
• Duration: 13 months

Care Support Apprentice – Key Responsibilities
As an Adult Care Worker, you will provide personal care and support to Residents with a wide range of needs.
You will:
• Support individuals with their daily routines while promoting independence, dignity, and respect.
• Read and understand care plans, risk assessments, and guidance to provide safe and personalised support.
• Help with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and supporting with toileting where required.
• Support with mobility, moving and handling, and safely using equipment.
• Prepare meals and drinks and support individuals with eating and drinking.
• Support with medication in line with training, care plans, and company procedures.
• Complete accurate care records using digital systems and report any changes or concerns.
• Provide companionship, conversation, and social support to help reduce isolation.
• Support with light household tasks such as laundry, shopping, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Work closely with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements at all times.
• Attend training sessions, team meetings, supervisions, and reviews to continue developing your skills.
• Wear the correct uniform and represent the organisation professionally.

Essential skills
NVQ/OCF in Health and Social Care
Previous experience working in a care or support role
Excellent communication skills

• GCSE English (Grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent) Desirable
• GCSE Maths (Grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent) Desirable
