What you'll do:

Business & customer strategy

• Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager and AG Advisors to develop market plans for new and existing customers; stay current on new agronomy products

• Recommend strategic operational goals by gathering business, financial, service, and operations data; define objectives, implement plans, and evaluate outcomes

• Enforce customer service standards; analyze and resolve complaints; promote improved products and expanded services in the trade territory

Facility & equipment oversight

• Manage and maintain proper working condition of vehicles, machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds

• Ensure equipment is cleaned regularly to prolong safe operation and promote a positive company image

• May perform general vehicle, machinery, and equipment maintenance and repairs

• Follow all company safety standards and comply with OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations

Chemical plant

• Manage inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking

• Manage day-to-day operations and supervise Operations Specialists or Custom Applicators assigned to the plant

• Monitor for chemical leaks or spills and manage cleanup and proper disposal

• Act as backup to prepare chemical mixes for producers when needed

Anhydrous ammonia station

• Monitor for leaks or spillage and manage cleanup and disposal; contact emergency management when directed by the Regional Manager

• Act as backup to complete anhydrous ammonia preparation and transfer for producers

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and agricultural experience

• Knowledge of operational management, business management, accounting, budgeting, project management, and quality management

• Strong judgment, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

• Proven mentoring and coaching ability; able to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Basic math skills including proportions, percentages, and volume; able to prepare and interpret spreadsheets and graphs

• Ability to safely operate company vehicles, machinery, and equipment

• Valid operator's license and forklift certification required; CDL Class A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred or obtainable within 60 days
