About this role

English Adventure, the leader in English-language outdoor programs in Japan, is hiring for our upcoming Ski Camp!

Ski Camp Driver Job Description

Our Drivers’ primary function at ski camp is to drive skiers from the bottom of our beginner ski hill approximately five minutes to the top of the hill at the main lodge. Drivers will help load skis and campers in their van at the bottom of the hill, ensuring safety belts are used properly, and help unload campers and gear at the top of the hill. Because a Driver is a camper-facing position, we expect Drivers to maintain a positive attitude at all times. Ski sessions are held both in the morning and afternoon, and drivers will drive continuously while campers are skiing.

Drivers will be responsible for checking the readiness of their vehicle in the morning and after lunch, and parking it properly at the end of the day, as well as dealing with inclement weather, including putting on/taking off tire chains. Drivers will also act as Support Staff outside of ski hours, primarily (but not limited to) helping set up evening activities and assisting during campers' free time. The Driver will report to the Ski Manager both while driving and while acting as support staff.

Camp is hard work! We support the campers from morning until night, but you'll have other support staff around you, and some good breaks to make sure that you stay energized and are having fun too.

We are seeking hard-working, fun, and energetic English-speaking staff of any nationality.

PLEASE NOTE: English Adventure is a 100% nonsmoking workplace. Please do not apply if you cannot abide by the nonsmoking rule.
