Cheese Operations Mixer Helper (Full-Time with Benefits)
Job Description: This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to batch weighing, mixing, extruding, filling, depositing and cutting operations within our Cheese Operations. Food Quality and Food Safety are an important aspect to ensuring our customer expectations are met. This position involves set up and operation of numerous pieces of equipment including mixers, Crepaco, Porta Pump, cutters and more.
You’ll also be responsible for: • Preforming set-up procedures for upcoming production runs • Reading and preparing recipes to ensure the proper production of various Cheese products • Completing reports throughout the day regarding production • Compliance with all food safety protocols; supporting FSSC 22000 Certification • Compliance to our safety program and safe operation of equipment • Compliance to our Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications: What It Takes: We need an individual who is self-motivated and can work independently while following procedures. In addition, we are looking for an individual who can work in a fast-paced work environment with a high attention to detail. • A high school education or equivalent or two years of relevant experience (we will train) • Ability to with stand moderate physical labor for majority of shift. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. • The ability of following and executing recipes possessing the necessary math skills to scale up or down • Strong experience/knowledge of operating a wide range of machines • Good written and verbal communication skills
