Manager of Logistics; 1.0FTE; Day Shift
Job Description: The Logistics Manager plans, implements, and oversees efficient distribution systems to hospital and off-site locations. This position oversees coordination for Storeroom, Transportation, Mailroom and Off-Site Warehouse operations. The incumbent is also responsible for supervising Storeroom/Receiving staff, Mailroom staff, and Transportation Drivers while managing and maintaining bulk stock, receiving functions, and deliveries to hospital and clinic departments. This role reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain Services and works in collaborative partnership with Supply Chain management team and customer stakeholders.
Essential Functions: • Oversees shipping, receiving, delivery, mailroom and transportation functions, and Error/Loss Prevention workflows to ensure optimal performance accuracy and quality service to customers • Oversees off-site warehouse functions, bulk stock deliveries, stock rotation, outdates, recalls, transfers, and stock-on-hand levels. • Provides management of staff which includes hiring, coaching, performance review, training, scheduling, and recommended discipline. • Responsible for development and review of departmental procedures. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. • Responsible for creating efficiency within supply chain that meet demands of customers. • Oversight of budgets, assuring adequate measures are in place to maintain budget benchmarks. • Responsible for maintaining vehicle databases. Maintains vehicle records and makes recommendations regarding vehicle repair or replacement. • Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with customers to assure needs are met. • Responsible for developing, maintaining and providing training and competency as required by policy or regulation. • Responsible for obtaining driver’s records and review of compliance with organizational policies. Required Qualifications: • Associate's degree in management or a business-related field. • 4 years Inventory experience. • 2 years Supervisory experience. • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Healthcare Administration • 5 years supervisory experience • 2 years inventory experience in healthcare setting. EEO/M/F/D/V
