Chief Analyst
Position Description: Performs specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Additionally, this position is not eligible for remote or hybrid opportunities. All work is required to be performed onsite at TTEP.
Major/Essential Functions: • Effectively supervise assigned section of the Accounting Services department. • Responsible for accounting functions according to established policies and procedures. • Analyzes accounting data to ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards. • Assist in managing different funds and financial reporting compilations and distributions. • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report (AFR) for TTUHSC El Paso. • Process transactions following established deadlines after a thorough review and interpretation of the substance of each transaction. • Assist in the maintenance of the institution fund structure. • Works with department leaders and staff in resolving and researching accounting issues related to their department needs. • Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position. • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.). • Personally, and consistently, demonstrate, display and act in accordance with Texas Tech Health El Paso’s Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Preferred Qualifications: • Accounting degree in a business-related field. • Demonstrated competency in verbal and written communication, time management, accounting, and analytical procedures. • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required plus five years progressively responsible related experience.
