Program Coordinator

Position Description: Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program. This position will also represents the Office of Professional Development and Accredited Continuing Education in interactions with faculty, departments, healthcare professionals, institutional partners, and other stakeholders.

Major/Essential Functions: • Prepare, review, maintain, and organize accreditation documentation and activity records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Joint Accreditation and departmental requirements. • Coordinate logistical and operational requirements for live, virtual, hybrid, and educational activities such as registration, faculty coordination, participant communications, attendance, technology, materials, and evaluations. • Complete post activity requirements: attendance reconciliation, learner credit documentation, evaluations, outcomes data, required reporting, and activity closeout. • Develop, test, implement, and evaluate outcomes measurement tools and surveys to assess changes in knowledge, competence, performance, and, when applicable, patient or healthcare outcomes. • Work with institutional departments, activity planners, and other stakeholders to identify and assess professional practice gaps and educational needs that may be addressed through continuing professional development. • Help with the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of enduring educational materials and digital learning resources. • Assist with reports, audits, and reaccreditation documentation. • Communicate accreditation requirements, timelines, responsibilities, and processes to activity planners, including faculty, departmental contacts, and other stakeholders. • Aid in tracking activity expenses, reconciling financial records, and maintaining documentation related to program budgets and expenditures. • Maintain current knowledge of Joint Accreditation requirements, continuing education standards, adult learning principles, and emerging practices.

Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in education, communication, healthcare administration, or a related field. • Experience coordinating or producing educational activities for professionals. • Experience and/or knowledge of adult learning principles and supporting continuing professional development or accredited continuing education activities. • Experience using digital communication in higher education. • Experience coordinating and executing CME events.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Occasional Duties: • Maintain an accurate log of checks and other payments received by the office. • Assist with special projects, office events, accreditation related initiatives, and other program.

Required Qualifications: High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Visa Information: TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions.
