Senior Director
Position Description: Manages and directs the day-to-day operations of a research center/institute or medium-sized department. Plans, coordinates, and supervises the operation and activities of the center/institute/department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks, and sets priorities.
Major/Essential Functions: • Nursing Oversight - Oversees the nursing functions of a health facility, including direct and indirect supervision of a 24-hour, 7-day a week health system. • Medical Care Oversight - Coordinates medical providers' schedule availability and medical services operations to ensure patients' access-to-care is timely and appropriate. • Dental Care Oversight - Coordinates dental providers' schedule availability and medical services operations to ensure patients' access-to-care is timely and appropriate. • Mental Health Oversight - Coordinates with mental health providers to ensure access to psychiatry services and mental health counseling services are timely and appropriate. • Specialty and Hospital Care Oversight - Establishes and manages care coordination efforts for referrals to specialty care and hospital care. Works with network providers to create mutually beneficial care pathways enhancing patients' access to care. • Financial and Administrative Oversight - Is fully responsible for the administrative and operational activities in the health facility, including fiscal responsibility, staffing, and ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and university requirements. • Quality and Compliance Oversight - Works with university departments to establish and manage health quality and compliance practices to ensure high quality patient care, compliance to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading multi-disciplinary healthcare facility including nursing care, primary care, dental care, and specialty care coordination. Ability to use clinical and business information systems for decision support in clinical, operational, and strategic operations. Skilled in organizational leadership, building strong teams and establishing productive workflows; can demonstrate successful strategies for integrating and overseeing teams with diverse professional backgrounds and from different disciplines. Nursing degree and Master's degree in business, health administration, or nursing administration preferred.
Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus six years of progressively responsible management experience OR a combination of education and/or years of experience in management to equal a minimum of 10 years.

Visa Information: TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions.
