Job Description: Infosys Public Services is seeking a Azure Administrator. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications: • Candidate must be located within commuting distance in Ottawa, ON or be willing to relocate to the area. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. The Azure Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, security, and optimization of Microsoft Azure cloud environments. This role ensures the availability, performance, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure while supporting business applications, integrations, and operational requirements. The Azure Administrator will work closely with solution architects, application teams, security specialists, and project stakeholders to manage Azure resources and implement cloud best practices.
Preferred Qualifications: • Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services. • Configure and manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, App Services, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and related services. • Implement and maintain Azure governance, security, compliance, and identity management controls. • Monitor cloud resource utilization, performance, availability, and operational health using Azure-native monitoring tools. • Manage backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability solutions within Azure. • Perform system upgrades, patch management, and platform maintenance activities. • Support deployment automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and Azure DevOps practices. • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, networking, and application connectivity issues. • Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, policies, and cost optimization initiatives. • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to support cloud-based applications and services. • Maintain operational documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures. • Ensure adherence to organizational security standards, regulatory requirements, and cloud governance policies. • Dedicated Certified Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent Microsoft Azure certification. • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft Azure environments. • Strong experience managing Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and monitoring services. • Experience with Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management. • Knowledge of Azure Backup, Site Recovery, security controls, and operational best practices. • Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation tools. • Experience supporting production environments and mission-critical cloud workloads. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or enterprise SaaS applications hosted in Azure environments. • Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones, governance frameworks, and cloud security architectures. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform. • Additional Microsoft certifications in Azure Security, Azure Solutions Architecture, or DevOps. • Minimum 5 years of Microsoft Azure administration experience. • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-scale Azure cloud environments. • Proven ability to manage cloud infrastructure operations, security, performance optimization, and service continuity. • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent certification. Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows: In Mississauga, ON: $92,740 to $123,375.
