BAE Systems in Hudson, NH is looking for a Quality Tech who will work within our Quality machine shop for the review and CMM inspection of manufactured parts. The Quality Tech shall verify conformance of materials by performing CMM inspections on a wide array of commodities of material. This position will focus on the inspection of mechanical fabrication/machined parts, and may also include circuit card assemblies, printed wiring boards, electrical components, etc. to determine conformance with applicable drawing specifications and other industry quality standards. Additional inspection responsibilities include establishing and improving inspection methods utilizing simple and advanced quality tools. The Quality Tech will also review and approve AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports, issue non-conformance reports, assist with stock purges, support metrology, and interface with various departments. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time onsite. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Skills and Education: • High School Diploma and 2-3+ years work experience • Ability to interpret and inspect to technical specifications and drawings • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) • Experience writing new programs for CMM • Experience with inspecting mechanical parts and assemblies using common inspection tools which include calipers, micrometers, GO/NG fixtures, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and advanced inspection tools including, and optical comparator instruments • High attention to detail • Self-motivated
Preferred Skills and Education: • Familiarity with Military and Industry specifications and standards • Ability to review and verify conformance and traceability documentation • Ability to review First Article Inspection reports • Ability to navigate and organize information within a Quality Management System Database • Inspection of Printed Wiring Boards per IPC-A-600, Inspection of Circuit Card Assemblies per IPC-A-610 • Experience performing XRF
