Dir I- Strategic Ops
Job Description: Within our new Aerospace & Mission Systems (AMS) segment of BAE Systems, Inc., the business area of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) develops systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
Within C4ISR and its Adaptive Communications & Sensing (AC&S) product line, the Operations Director for the Airborne Tactical Radios (ATR) Program Area will ensure achievement of manufacturing, supply chain, financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives for a strategic portfolio of products and more than 100,000 military radios deployed globally.
This leader will join a growing and dynamic team of 6 direct reports and assume responsibility for Operations strategy and execuction of a portfolio chartered with growing the business while ramping several franchise programs from development to full rate production and sustainment.

Required Skills and Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management or related technical field and 8+ years of progressive leadership in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing, Supply Chain or other related manufacturing experience Skills: • Strategic Thinking:Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans. • Leadership & Team Management:Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. • Influence & Collaboration: Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships. • Project Management:Expert project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives. • Financial Acumen:Strong understanding of financial statements and key business metrics.
Preferred Skills and Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business and a minimum of 12+ years’ experience leading manufacturing, operations, or supply chain teams. • Experience in Lean Six-Sigma and continuous improvement background preferred.
