We are looking for a talented Systems engineer to lead a team which specializes in designing, analyzing, developing, and implementing complex algorithms with applications to EO/IR technologies. You will be an integrated team member collaborating with Software and Hardware engineers throughout the product life cycle. You will prepare design and project documentation intended to be used within complex programs or across sets of programs in accordance with established processes. We will provide you with opportunities to learn, leverage our current technologies, incorporate new technologies, and make an impact within the larger engineering team. Job Responsibilities • Subject Matter Expertise in Algorithm Design with Electro-optical Infra-red or related technologies • Leading a team of Systems and Software engineers in support of EO/IR Algorithm development activities across multiple programs • Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification of complex software and algorithm designs for complex systems • Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings • Support proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimation, and presentation activities • Establish communication to keep management informed of the function’s progress and results.

Required Skills and Education: • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Math, Computer Science, or related field, and minimum of 12 years work experience or equivalent experience; or a Master’s degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. • Current Secret Security Clearance (active within 2 years) • Experience with Machine Learning and/or Algorithm development • Previous experience with Electro-Optical/Infrared Image processing • Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test) • Experience with proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimation, and presentation activities • Background in embedded and/or application software development in one or more: C++, Python, Java • Experience or background with advanced math and physics • Experience leading technical teams • Experience identifying, delegating, tracking, and reporting team tasks

Preferred Skills and Education: • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering • Prior experience in technical/project team leadership • Experience with the full life-cycle of software development including performing software testing, validation, and verification activities • Experience with algorithm development and optimization in C++, CUDA, or Open CL • Experience with Agile Development experience • Experience with Model Based System Engineering • Experience creating and/or working with Digital Twins • Experience presenting to and working with government customers • Object-Oriented language proficiency
