Job Description: BAE Systems is looking for a Contracts Administrator to administer large and complex contracts, programs and proposal efforts. This position will act as a point of contact between the company and MARMC Negotiator, Contracting Officer, and Project personnel for proposal preparation, interpretation of contracts/specifications and negotiation of change orders. This position will also monitor the contract's performance and submit reports and recommendations to management. As a Principal Contract Administrator you will; repare and submit required reports and correspondence.
• Maintain daily dialogue with company and customer activities to address and resolve contract matters. · • Review, administer and negotiate change orders with customers. · • Provide functional expertise to Program Managers and Maintenance Teams in support of assigned programs. · Administer and submit cost proposals. · • Initiate recommendations to management to minimize contractual risk and maximize program performance.
Required Skills and Education: • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant contracts experience or HS Diploma and 10 years of equivalent experience in DOD contracting. • Cradle to grave contracting experience. • Extensive working knowledge of FAR/DFAR. • Critical attention to detail with financial acumen. • Experience with various contract structures, various terms & conditions and proposal preparation and execution. • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Ability to make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. • Computer skills to maintain contract records within our business systems as well as demonstrated research and presentation skills.
