Project Mgr - Admin
Job Description: • Plan, execute, and close out Logistics Packaging Engineering projects that meet or exceed customer objectives. • Develop the overall project plan and manage project operations. Create clear and attainable project objectives, assess/build project requirements, and manage constraints of cost, schedule, scope, and quality. • Collaborate with a diverse technical team, ensuring that team members know and execute their respective roles, working to ensure that development schedules are met and resources are used effectively. • Coordinate the resolution of technical data development issues, ensuring proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the handoff of information required for project completion. • Assign and track project actions items to ensure timely completion. • Develop and present technical briefings describing project status and performance metrics to inform internal and external stakeholders. • Identify, communicate, and manage risks/opportunities that impact project completion.
Required Skills and Education: • Experience managing technical/logistics projects • Ability to work/coordinate with internal/external customers/vendors to gather requirements, develop plans and execute to budgets/timelines as required. • Ability to work and deliver on short suspense tasking/products in a fast paced potentially stressful environment • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously in a rapidly paced environment. • Experience with Customer's Project Management Framework. • Creates, incorporates, implements changes to schedule(s) • Working knowledge of Customer's organization, internal policies and processes • Project Organization/tracking • Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Highly mission oriented • Required Education Level/Major: BS in a relevant technical discipline, with desired focus on management. Equivalent experience can be substituted for educational requirement. • At least six years of experience in a relevant technical discipline.

Preferred Skills and Education: • Strong product knowledge and familiarity with packaging engineering principles. • Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Access. • PMP Certification is highly desirable. • Experience operating within the Earned Value Management System. • Knowledgeable in logistics support activities and applicable military standards/specifications • Ability to interpret DOD contracts. • Understanding of military acquisition cycle.
