RWDI is seeking a Modeler to join the Model Shop team in our Guelph office. This is a 12 month call-in contract position, hours of work may vary from 20-40 hours per week and are not always guaranteed. The role includes but is not limited to the following: Perform model storage, organization, handling, and inventory tasks to support the efficient operation of the shop Operating a variety of equipment, mainly shop equipment and hand tools, such as 3D printers, rapid prototyping machines, cameras, computers, and software (e.g. drawing) Support with building physical or electronic models and prototypes Deciphering information from 2D and 3D drawing files, sketches, photos, and maps to conceive and construct models Participating in the planning and coordination of projects Collaborating with the engineering team to problem-solve modeling issues Ensuring the project requirements are being fulfilled through ongoing communication with the project team Physical demands of the job include the ability to free-lift up to 40 lbs
