Shallowford Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338 Opening October 2026 Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is expanding. Following the success of our established Marietta Specialty and Emergency hospital , we're opening a brand-new specialty and emergency hospital in Dunwoody this October 2026. We're seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians, Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), and highly skilled Veterinary Assistants to join our founding Medical Oncology team . This is an opportunity to help build a specialty service from the ground up while working alongside experienced specialists and veterinary professionals who are passionate about advanced medicine, compassionate patient care, and client support . Selected team members will begin paid onboarding and training at our Marietta hospital in August 2026 before transitioning to our new Dunwoody location. Oncology Nursing and Patient Care Provide compassionate nursing care for oncology patients throughout treatment Monitor patient comfort, treatment response, and quality of life Support chemotherapy, recheck appointments, and ongoing treatment plans Administer medications, fluids, and other prescribed therapies Maintain accurate treatment and medical records Chemotherapy and Treatment Support Prepare and administer chemotherapy according to established protocols and safety standards Follow OSHA and NIOSH hazardous drug handling guidelines Use appropriate PPE and safe handling procedures Maintain accurate chemotherapy and medication documentation Support the safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous medications Diagnostics and Specialty Procedures Perform venipuncture and blood collection Process laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic testing Support fine needle aspirates, biopsies, staging, and other oncology procedures Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging and specialty treatments Assist with patient monitoring and procedural support Client Communication and Team Collaboration Educate clients about treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Provide compassionate support during difficult and emotionally sensitive conversations Reinforce home-care and quality-of-life recommendations Collaborate with Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine, Emergency, ICU, and other specialty teams Maintain organized treatment areas and support efficient patient flow
