Inspire, Create and Shape the Future of Floristry Hugh Baird College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Lecturer in Floristry to join our Business Engagement Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced vocational professional to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring successful learner outcomes and maximising every student's potential to progress to their chosen destination. As a Lecturer in Floristry, you will teach students across a range of courses as assigned by the Curriculum Manager. You will create an engaging and professional learning environment, adapting your teaching to meet individual learner needs and supporting students to develop their knowledge, skills, confidence and employability. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering high-quality Floristry teaching and learning, including schemes of learning and curriculum intent documentation. Developing assessments, marking work and providing clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress. Supervising practical activities, workshops and work placements where appropriate. Using appropriate teaching methods, resources and technology, including the College's virtual learning environment. Maintaining accurate records of attendance, assessment, achievement and progress, including MarkBook and registers. Supporting learner welfare, attendance, behaviour and personal development, referring students to appropriate College services where required. Contributing to curriculum development, quality assurance, course reviews and external partnerships. Participating in College activities including open events, admissions, employer engagement, parents' evenings and liaison with examination boards and external verifiers. You will also be expected to maintain and develop your professional and vocational expertise through CPD, training, self-directed learning and engagement with external partnerships.
