About the Job The Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the surgical experience. Utilizing the nursing process, the Perioperative RN assesses, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates care for patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures. This role serves as a vital member of the surgical team, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, safety, and compassionate care. Who We Are Serving Tustin, Santa Ana and other surrounding communities, Foothill Regional Medical Center is a fully accredited acute care hospital, licensed for 177 beds—120 beds for general acute care, 15 intensive care beds and 42 pediatric sub-acute beds. Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care. Function as a scrub nurse and/or circulating nurse during surgical procedures. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection prevention standards. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective surgical care. Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative continuum. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused surgical environment.
