About this role

Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding Neuropsychology Service within the Department of Neurosurgery, based in a leading centre of excellence for Neurosciences.

This exciting post is primarily a research-focused role, funded by The Brain Tumour Charity, contributing to an innovative programme of work exploring the return-to-work experiences and vocational support needs of people living with low-grade brain tumours. You will play a key role in designing, leading and delivering high-quality research, including evidence synthesis and qualitative research methodologies, with the aim of improving outcomes and support pathways for this patient group.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with neuropsychologists, neurosurgeons, researchers and multidisciplinary colleagues across the Neurosciences Directorate.

You will contribute to the development of a growing research portfolio within neuro-oncology and neuropsychology.

There may also be opportunities, depending on service needs, professional background and supervision arrangements, to contribute to the clinical work of the Neuropsychology Service. This could include supporting the assessment and care of patients undergoing treatment within the Neurosurgery service, providing valuable exposure to specialist clinical neuropsychology practice within a tertiary neuroscience setting.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong interest in neuropsychology, neuro-oncology, vocational rehabilitation and neurosciences research to develop their expertise within a dynamic and collaborative clinical and academic environment.

Join us and help shape the future of neuropsychological care and support for people affected by brain tumours within one of the UK's leading Neurosciences centres.
