Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly, Paediatric nursing teams. 36 hours permanent position available. The Paediatric Department consists of a team of experienced and dedicated Nursing and Medical staff providing care to children and young people from birth to 16 years. The Children's Ward includes 17 in-patient and 4 day case beds . There is also a 6 bedded Paediatric Observation Assessment Unit co-located next to the ward. An Enhanced DBS Certificate, with the checking of the Children's Barred Lists is required for this position. Main duties of the job To be responsible in association with the team leader for the formulation and implementation of individual patient care plans. To participate in the holistic assessment of patients, and to formulate and review individual patient care plans and to act as 'named nurse' or associate for a group of patients from admission to discharge as determined by the Ward Manager.
