In a Centre of Excellence with forward thinking, highly skilled staff, currently providing a Monday to Friday structured service between the hours of 8-7pm with no on-call/bank holiday commitmentDue to expansion and growth of services, opportunities are available at Wrightington Hospital, for you to join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team as a scrub practitioner, delivering quality patient centred care and patient safety throughout the patient pathway.
You must be a registered Operating Department Practitioner / registered Nurse at Band 5, experience working within the theatre environment is preferable however training is available. The ambition and desire to develop your skills within the theatre environment is essential
Main duties of the job
Our Theatre Teams also work closely with some of the region's leading consultants and are exposed to the latest innovative, evidence -based clinical techniques. Our real driving force is our ability to invest in our people, as we support our Theatre Nurses and ODPs to build their skills through mentoring and formal training such as ALS or ASP.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Demonstrate ability as professional role model. Experience of working on own and as a member of a team.
Desirable
Working knowledge of theatres Experience since qualification Experience in the application of SFA duties.
Skills Essential
Participation in research/audit. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain and improve standards of care.

Knowledge Essential
Up to date knowledge of current clinical and professional issues. Knowledge of evidence based practice. Understanding of research/audit.

Additional Essential

Qualifications Essential
RN 1st Level / HCPC Registered ODP Diploma in specialist Nursing or equivalent DSPN
Desirable
ENB 998/CG7307/100/Mentorship in practice Degree /Diploma Studies Specialists Skills Course. SFA Part 1 Qualification.
