Job summary
Derby City North Primary Care Network is looking for a motivated, organised, and proactive individual to join our team as a Primary Care Network Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key supporting role in the delivery of highquality primary care services across our member practices (Brook Medical Centre, Derwent Medical Centre, Horizon Healthcare, Osmaston Surgery and Wilson Street Surgery).
Working as part of a small, friendly team, you will help coordinate PCN projects, support operational activity, and ensure the smooth running of administrative processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a fastpaced environment.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the coordination and delivery of PCN projects and programmes
Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing agendas and minutes
Updating the PCN website and social media channels
Checking and processing claims to/from Practices, dealing with invoices, spreadsheets, supporting maintenance of accurate accounts and PCN financial matters
Managing and updating staff/ SystmOne rotas
Providing data and reporting support for PCN initiatives
Communicating with practices, partners, commissioners and stakeholders
Supporting events, operational activities, and service development
Assisting with bids, submissions, and project documentation

Derby City North Primary Care Network (PCN) serves a population of circa 72,000 patients residing across the practice registered footprint of our five member practices in Derby City.
Working collaboratively with other partners to strengthen and support the delivery of Primary Care services, the PCN consists of 5 core GP practices Brook Medical Centre, Derwent Medical Centre, Horizon Healthcare, Osmaston Surgery and Wilson Street Surgery.

The DCNPCN Administrator will provide administrative support to the Primary Care Network Manager and the Clinical Director/TeamUP Clinical Lead. The role will support the operational team in the delivery of the Primary Care Network Directed Enhanced Service (PCN DES), Team UP services, our DCPC Ltd business administrative support and supporting the Network to meet future ambitions.
Working closely with the PCN Leadership Team and Partner Practices, the post holder will have primary responsibility for the administration of Team UP invoices, PCN finances, the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), and other Enhanced Services and administrative work in support of the PCN.
This role requires strong organisational and time-management skills; the ability to work under pressure with a methodical approach; a good level of maths/bookkeeping skills; able to work as part of a small team; possibly with experience of working within the NHS. It offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to gain knowledge and experience in Primary Care.
Support the Network in the administration and monitoring of contractual requirements relating to the PCN DES, TeamUP, other PCN contracts.
Organise meetings, prepare agendas and take accurate notes and minutes.
Work on SystmOne to update rotas, support issues from PCN teams, liaise with IT and deal with tasks.
Take ownership of the day-to-day administrative requirements of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), including submission and monitoring of reimbursement claims, supported by the PCN Manager
Inputting information onto Xero, creating invoices and keeping the system updated.
Act as the day-to-day point of contact for PCN-related administration queries from practices and stakeholders.
Work with the PCN Manager to support collaborative working across local providers, patient groups and voluntary and third-sector organisations.
Ensure all work is undertaken in line with NHS policies, confidentiality requirements and data protection legislation.
Travel between PCN practices as required to support the delivery of the role.
Recognise the roles of other colleagues within the PCN and in other organisations and their role to patient care.
