Main duties of the job The Clinical Safety Officer role at CLEO Systems involves ensuring digital clinical safety across the organization. The officer will lead digital clinical safety activities, providing expertise in clinical safety governance, especially supportive for the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration solutions. Key tasks include conducting clinical safety reviews, facilitating risk management and compliance efforts, and collaborating with stakeholders, including NHS affiliates. The candidate is expected to have significant experience in digital health, particularly within NHS frameworks or as a healthcare software provider, with a strong understanding of clinical safety standards and risk management procedures, evidenced by at least two years of experience in a similar position.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Safety Officer to join our growing healthcare software business.
Working as part of a dynamic team of clinical and non-clinical professionals, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of digital clinical safety across CLEO Systems. You will provide expert leadership, guidance and support in relation to clinical safety standards, risk management and governance, ensuring our digital solutions are safe, effective and compliant.
A key focus of this role will be supporting our Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) solutions, conducting clinical safety reviews, and providing approval for the implementation of new and upgraded digital solutions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee digital clinical safety activities across CLEO Systems. Provide specialist expertise in ePMA solutions and clinical safety governance. Develop, maintain and review clinical safety documentation, including hazard logs and clinical safety cases. Assess clinical risks associated with digital healthcare solutions and recommend mitigation strategies. Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of digital systems and services. Collaborate with NHS stakeholders, customers and internal teams to ensure safe and effective deployment of solutions. Ensure compliance with relevant clinical safety standards and best practice guidance.About You
You will be a registered clinician with a passion for safe digital transformation in healthcare and a proven ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current registration with an appropriate professional body. At least two years' experience working within the digital health sector, either within the NHS or a healthcare software supplier. Experience of clinical safety and risk management in health IT environments. Knowledge and practical experience of hazard logs, clinical safety cases and clinical risk assessment processes. Experience working with NHS organisations and managing key stakeholder relationships. Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. A proactive and collaborative approach to delivering high-quality outcomes.What We Offer
