Summary of Primary Functions: To develop and perform sound accounting and managerial skills in the accounting and finance areas of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
• Sets up new projects in ERP system.
• Maintains detail and approves invoices for payment and performance bonds.
• Collects, distributes and ensures compliance with legal garnishments.
• Works on ERP improvement projects.
• Send financial information for customer pre-qualifications.
• Maintains lease data base. Calculates values, prepares journal entries and ensures compliance with GAAP.
• Handles revenue and cost calculations for operating division.
• Works directly with GM and plant personnel to accurately prepare and distribute monthly financial statements.
• Prepares backlog and days outstanding spreadsheets each month.
• Oversees Car-Data program including working with new entrants, system setup, monthly changes and payment.
• Prepares and posts monthly recurring journal vouchers.
• Performs month end close of ERP system out on a rotating basis.
• Prepares bank reconciliations monthly Prepares and audits benefit payments for ancillary plans.
• Prepares monthly management reports.
• Prepares year end fixed asset depreciation and tax calculations and reconciliations.
• Performs ACA calculations and checks.
• Prepares required fixed asset reports related to tax abatements.
• Prepares year end audit schedules of asset and liability accounts.
• Assists with year-end job schedules required by audit.
Job Specifications or Qualifications
Certificates, Licenses, Registration: CPA or CMA is preferred.
Education: College Degree (4 year) in Accounting is required.
