Key Responsibilities Project Leadership
• Lead end-to-end execution of large infrastructure and civil engineering projects. • Develop construction strategies, execution methodologies, and project delivery plans. • Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors. • Ensure project milestones are achieved within approved timelines and budgets. Construction Management
• Supervise all construction activities including civil, structural, MEP, finishing, and external development works. • Monitor site productivity, resource utilization, and equipment deployment. • Review construction methodologies and recommend improvements for efficiency and safety. • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Planning & Scheduling
• Coordinate with planning teams to prepare and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. • Track critical path activities and implement recovery plans for delays. • Conduct regular progress review meetings with stakeholders. Contract & Commercial Management
• Administer EPC, item-rate, and turnkey contracts. • Review contractor performance, bills, change orders, variation claims, and extension of time requests. • Coordinate with procurement teams for timely material and equipment availability. • Monitor project costs and implement value engineering initiatives. Quality Management
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and project specifications. • Monitor inspection and testing activities. • Implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain quality standards. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Promote a strong safety culture across project sites. • Ensure compliance with statutory HSE regulations and company safety policies. • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments. • Drive zero-incident project execution. Stakeholder Management
• Liaise with government authorities, consultants, architects, regulatory agencies, and clients. • Coordinate approvals, inspections, and statutory clearances. • Present project progress reports to senior management and clients. Risk Management
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. • Manage technical, commercial, contractual, and operational risks. • Resolve construction issues and technical challenges proactively. Team Leadership
• Mentor project managers, site engineers, and construction teams. • Build high-performing project teams focused on collaboration and continuous improvement. • Conduct performance evaluations and capability development initiatives.
Required Experience
• 10–25 years of experience in large infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects. • Proven experience in executing iconic or mega infrastructure developments. • Experience in projects such as: • Large monuments and landmark structures (e.g., Statue of Unity–type projects) • Riverfront developments • Water resource and river-linking projects • Smart City infrastructure • Bridges, highways, tunnels, and flyovers • Dams, canals, reservoirs, and irrigation projects • Urban infrastructure and public realm developments • Government, PSU, or EPC infrastructure projects
Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) • Master's Degree in Construction Management / Structural Engineering • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
