We are seeking an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure & Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of our enterprise security and network infrastructure, with a strong focus on Check Point Firewalls and network security technologies. You will help ensure the availability, performance, and security of our global environment while supporting hybrid networking across on-premises and Microsoft Azure platforms. Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams, you will contribute to operational excellence, compliance, and ongoing technology transformation initiatives. Your tasks and responsibilities: - Administer, maintain, and optimize Check Point Firewalls, F5 WAF, VPN, MFA, NAC, proxy solutions, and PKI services. - Manage firewall policies, security rules, upgrades, patching, and security hardening activities. - Support vulnerability remediation, security incident investigation, and audit/compliance requirements. - Operate and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and Internet connectivity. - Support Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, SDA, ACI, and high-availability network services. - Manage hybrid connectivity between on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure. - Monitor network and security performance, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex issues. - Maintain technical documentation and support Incident, Problem, Change, and Vulnerability Management processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, migrations, and operational improvements. - Participate in on-call support and act as an escalation point for network and security-related incidents. Your skills and experience: - 5+ years of experience in Network Security, Firewall Administration, or Network Engineering. - Strong hands-on experience with Check Point Firewall administration, including SmartConsole, Management Server, and Gateway management. - Experience with VPN technologies, F5 WAF, MFA, NAC, proxy solutions, and certificate management. - Solid understanding of Cisco networking technologies, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VLANs, and enterprise networking concepts. - Experience with Cisco SDA, Cisco ACI, data center networking, and hybrid Azure networking environments. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience working in enterprise or regulated environments. - Professional English proficiency and excellent stakeholder communication skills. - Relevant certifications such as CCSA/CCSE, CCNA/CCNP, F5 BIG-IP, or ITIL Foundation are advantageous. - Exposure to Azure networking, SASE/SSE, Zero Trust concepts, and financial services environments is a plus What we offer: - An exciting working environment and challenging tasks - Extensive insight into the European fund industry - Friendly, international and goal-oriented working environment - High degree of independent work - Interesting discounts - Free Deutschland ticket - Attractive home office arrangements and working time flexibility Ergänzende Informationen: Nur schwerbehinderte oder ihnen gleichgestellte Personen
