The bank is strengthening the way it demonstrates, internally and towards its supervisors, that it meets the laws and regulations that matter most to its business. Within the second line of defence, a central risk team coordinates a bank-wide assessment in which the accountable owners of key regulations formally confirm, and substantiate with evidence, the extent to which requirements are being met. As Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Expert, you safeguard the quality, consistency and credibility of that assessment. You combine the analytical rigour of an auditor with the pragmatism of a consultant: you support the business in completing the assessment correctly, and you review the outcomes with a critical, independent eye. Your responsibilities - Guide accountable regulation owners and subject matter experts through the assessment cycle, from preparation through to final sign-off - Perform quality reviews of completed assessments and the underlying evidence, including control documentation, findings, self-assessments and approvals - Provide well-substantiated challenge where conclusions are unclear, inconsistent or insufficiently supported, and document your observations and recommendations - Translate individual outcomes into consolidated conclusions, emerging themes and management information for senior risk and compliance committees - Draft and maintain clear documentation of the methodolo...
