You will acquire in-depth knowledge of the key technologies driving the future of Powering AI, with a focus on next-generation wide-bandgap devices, including Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs and SiC JFETs, as well as state-of-the-art Silicon Superjunction MOSFETs. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing high-performance power semiconductor solutions for a range of applications, including AI server rack power supplies, battery backup systems, peak shaving units, and other emerging technologies. Through close collaboration with customers, you will play a key role in driving the development of the next generation of efficient, high-power-density systems that meet the rapidly evolving demands of artificial intelligence. More concretely, you will: * Define innovation by assessing and owning product requirements derived from application assumptions and stakeholder requirements contributing to the development of next-generation wide bandgap discrete 650 V, 750 V and 950 V CoolSiC® technology solutions * Serve as a key technical partner to R&D and direct customers providing expert guidance as a trusted advisor to enable successful development of feasibility study and assuring early design-ins * Provide and review technical content for the product roadmap with key deliverables as right-fit product requirements derived from stakeholder requirements, application assumptions and product target datasheets Lead product to system validation: designing and building innovative hardware setup systems, executing application tests, performing in-depth competitive benchmarking and conducting thorough analyses of internal verification and customer validation of prototypes Qualifications and skills to help you succeed: * University degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Power Electronics * 5+ years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry and/or power electronics, ideally with exposure to AI applications * Deep technical expertise in power semiconductor technologies (Si, SiC, GaN devices and discrete power packages) and power conversion topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC applications, including bridge/bridgeless PFC, LLC, DAB, Buck, Boost, and other related topologies); Familiarity with power electronics in AI Data Centers, PV systems, EV Chargers, UPS, ESS, and SSC, with focus on topology and device selection * Customer-centric approach with a genuine passion for working directly with customers including willingness to travel regularly, strong capability to understand needs, provide technical guidance and effectively resolve complex application challenges * Hands-on experience in hardware design, development, and testing including circuit simulation (SPICE), PCB layout (Altium or Cadence), prototyping, lab and real-world application testing * Excellent English communication skills with proven ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization plus the ability to explain complex technical ideas to a variety of audiences Apply to: [email protected] Das Mindestentgelt für die Stelle als Senior Staff Product Definition Engineer AI Applications (f/m/div) beträgt 6.660,00 EUR brutto pro Monat auf Basis Vollzeitbeschäftigung.
