About this role

NeoWork is looking for a Back-end Engineer with strong technical fundamentals and a passion for building reliable, well-tested systems. In this role, you’ll be working on tool-use functionality, including analyzing transcripts, debugging issues, and ensuring systems are robust and reliable. You’ll collaborate with contract engineers and internal stakeholders, helping drive technical quality across projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze tool-use transcripts to identify where models fail or tools break. Debug and confirm functionality by directly interacting with an MCP server. Write clear and detailed technical documentation for processes and findings. Build and maintain robust test suites to ensure high-quality code changes. Collaborate with other engineers and contract contributors to support technical QA and debugging. Requirements

3+ years of software engineering experience (open to strong candidates with less). Familiarity with Go, Python, TypeScript, or similar modern back-end stacks. Strong background in building and maintaining test frameworks. Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation. Analytical and proactive problem-solver who can spot issues from data and propose solutions. Benefits
