This is a temporary position for a duration of 20 months.
As you will be supporting employees based in the UK and Ireland, your work schedule will follow UK working hours, and the UK calendar of bank holidays will apply.
Role Purpose
This is an exciting role which is an integral part of the UK, Ireland & Middle East Disputes practice. The BD Executive will, together with the BD Executive and Senior BD Manager, provide support on marketing and business development activity across the Disputes division, which also includes our Restructuring & Insolvency and Regulatory & Investigations practice. The role will be focused on delivering strategic objectives in relation to campaigns, events, sponsorship management, directory submissions, thought leadership, client relationship management and client targeting.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Profile Raising:
Prepare award entries, legal directory submissions, and explore profile-raising opportunities.Maintain and update website and social media content with the Communications team.Ensure all materials follow brand and visual identity guidelines.Winning Work
Support the production of proposals (content creation, editing, team coordination, branding, and pricing compliance).Collaborate with the Senior BD Manager to develop high-quality proposal materials and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.Act as a proposal process ambassador and ensure proposals are logged and outcomes tracked.Conduct research on organisations, sectors, and individuals.Events and sponsorship management
Assist in planning and executing client events (in-person and virtual).Draft invitations, manage logistics, and create targeted mailing lists.Leverage sponsorships for client engagement and manage post-event follow-ups, including ROI trackingCampaign Management
Support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns.Draft and design marketing content for internal and external use.Work with the Digital Marketing team for online rollout, ensuring brand compliance and tracking ROI.Requirements
Significant relevant marketing and organisational experienceExperience managing the legal directories processExperience of working in a legal and/or professional services environmentUnderstands when to act and when to askBuilds trust amongst fee earning teams and wider stakeholder communityUnderstands the need and has the ability to manage expectationsGood attention to detailStrong written and oral communication skillsWillingness to take on additional responsibility and deputise for their line manager when requiredSound working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Graduate calibre with demonstrable and/or professionally recognised marketing or communications qualification (such as CIM, etc)
