JD Irving Limited is looking for a skilled Bench Person to join our Central Filing team and help us deliver excellence to our customers.

What You’ll Do:

Blade Inspection

• Conduct thorough inspections of saw blades to identify visible defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards to minimize operational downtime.

Blade Maintenance

• Use specialized tools and techniques to hammer out imperfections and restore saw blades to optimal condition.

Forklift Operation

• Safely operate a forklift to transport blades and filing equipment, supporting smooth and efficient operations.

Automated Equipment Management

• Operate and program automated grinding machines, inputting recipes to maintain blade precision and consistent performance.

Safety Compliance

• Follow strict workplace safety standards, proactively identifying risks to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience:

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. • Preferred: Additional technical training in equipment maintenance and one year of experience in blade filing or sawmill equipment maintenance.

Skills and Certifications:

• Forklift operator certification (required). • Knowledge of blade inspection, repair techniques, and automated grinding machine operation (preferred). • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to lift, pull, and hammer materials with precision. • Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and eagerness to learn new processes.
