How you’ll contribute A Security Officer who excels in this role:
• Perform proactive monitoring and respond promptly to potential or actual security threats • Investigate and manage all security incidents and hazards on hospital premises • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to policies regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness • Facilitate drills and simulations for emergency preparedness • Provide assistance and information to staff and visitors to promote safety

What we're looking for Security Officer: Education
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline preferred Experience
• Service in active-duty military, reserves, National Guard, or auxiliary police/cadet programs preferred • Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable and successful security experience required • Healthcare security experience preferred • At least six (6) months of customer interaction experience preferred Licenses
• Current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Skills & Abilities
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to remain calm and take appropriate action in stressful situations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills • Effective verbal and written communication in English More about Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital People are our passion and purpose.
