• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to establish appropriate rapport with students and staff
• Demonstrate exceptional service to students and staff
• Ability to function as part of school, department and district team
• Accept and carry out directions as given
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record
• Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness
• Ability to submit routine paperwork and process work orders as required
• Ability to lift and move heavy items in excess of 60 pounds unassisted
• Physical ability to do required work which could include heavy and sustained lifting,
• squatting,bending, stooping, carrying, climbing of ladders and other functions that are
• difficult and demanding
• Demonstrated ability to carry out safe work practices and procedures
• Must be able to work off of all ladder heights, scissor lifts, and Geni Lifts
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)
• Experience in scheduling day-to-day custodial functions
• Experience in summer restorative care including scheduling of summer work tasks
• Experience in efficient use of supplies and supply management
• Successful completion of Head Custodian Training
