JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator FLSA Status: Exempt Days of Work: 220 GENERAL SUMMARY The Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator works collaboratively with school staff, families, and community organizations to build and sustain effective partnerships that support student achievement. The coordinator ensures compliance with federal Title I parent and family engagement requirements and promotes active parent involvement in school programs and activities. Reports to the Director of Federal Programs ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.) Develop and implement a Parent and Family Engagement Plan in alignment with Title I requirements.

Coordinate and facilitate family workshops, meetings, and events that support academic achievement and parenting skills.

Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and community organizations.

Assist with the development and distribution of the School-Parent Compact and the Parent and Family Engagement Policy.

Maintain documentation of all Title I parent engagement activities, communications, and feedback for compliance purposes.

Communicate regularly with families through newsletters, phone calls, emails, school websites, and other platforms.

Provide translation and interpretation services (as needed) to ensure effective communication with non-English speaking families.

Train staff on effective strategies to engage parents and families, including working with diverse populations.

Conduct needs assessments and surveys to gather parent input on programs and school improvement efforts.

Collaborate with school leadership to integrate family engagement into school improvement planning. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Communications, or related field Knowledge: Experience working with families in educational or community settings.

Knowledge of Title I regulations and parent engagement best practices.

Skills/Efforts:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Working Conditions: Office environment with minimal exposure to environmental conditions; physical demands are restricted to activities requiring movement or lifting of items up to ten pounds.
