Monitor, Compliance QUALIFICATIONS BS or BA degree in Education, Business, Accounting or equivalent in training and experience Minimum two (2) years in compliance and monitoring preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to identify and solve problems with openness to new ideas and procedures (flexibility) Ability to work independently and with diverse groups of people Ability to work under pressure to meet inflexible deadlines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with various computer programs, related technology, and software Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, teachers, staff, students, and other employees Reports To Executive Director of School Support Job Goal To monitor the implementation of program requirements at the local level to ensure compliance with regulations, as well as to assure the quality of the program. Essential Functions Monitors the implementation of program requirements Provides guidance and technical assistance to schools regarding compliance issues prior to formal monitoring visits Provides technical assistance for compliance for principals, teachers, and other staff Develops system of accountability to ensure staff meet compliance expectations and abide by rules and regulations governing all Title I Programs Facilitates preparation and process of periodic Federal and State reporting according to deadlines and due dates Conducts or directs periodic on-site audits to ensure continuing compliance in reference to equipment Interacts with state monitoring agencies in the interpretation of program requirements Creates policies and procedures for program compliance Displays proactive planning for schools and staff regarding compliance issues Assists with special projects as requested by executive director Writes observation reports following monitoring visits Performs other duties as assigned Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
