About this role
Supervisor: Principal 7 hrs per day/ 180 days school year Qualifications:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED or enrolled in GED program
• Have the ability to develop a positive, professional relationship with students, teachers, administrators and parents.
• Must be available to participate in training sessions.
• Willing to participate in non-teaching assignments and extra-curricular activities that are related.
• Must successfully complete all required employment forms and applications.
• Render health services as necessary after appropriate training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or program director.
• Must have the ability to implement approved job description.
• Use professional and respectful communication to students and all faculty members while performing job duties.
• Must meet Section 1111(g)(2)(J) and (M) of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for paraprofessionals as noted below:
• Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
• Obtained an associate's (or higher) degrees; or
• Met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics
