• Background in school operations desired
• One year clerical experience in typing, filing, word processing, answering phones, dealing with public; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in office practices. Experience with payroll, testing, transcripts, supervision and receptionist duties desired.
• Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office-Word, Excel, etc. Synergy & Odysseyware desired.
• Ability to exercise careful judgment, diplomacy and confidentiality in performance of duties
• Organized and able to multi-task
• Good communication skills – both written and oral __excellent telephone skills a must
• General office / clerical skills
• Good knowledge of Business English, spelling and punctuation
• Ability to compose and prepare correspondence using correct business English/proofread and edit documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation and format
• Excellent public relation skills in working with students, staff, parents and the general public
• Ability to remain calm, but act quickly in emergency situations
• Skills Testing may be required
