Hours: 40hrs/wk Job description: Supervising children's play and encouraging physical, social and emotional development. Providing opportunities for different types of play and preparing materials for a wide range of children's activities. Encouraging children's independence, self-confidence and social interaction. Organising and supervising children on excursions. Organising and supervising children's activities in accordance with Childcare Regulations, cleaning up the play area and equipment after use, liaising with parents, carers and colleagues and keeping all appropriate records. Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the field. Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain a positive approach in a sometimes-challenging environment. Caring and empathetic nature. A second language would be an advantage. A positive ‘can do’ attitude and an enthusiasm for providing exceptional service to meet the needs of the company is required.
