About this role
The Delivery Driver’s main duty will be the transportation of meals from The Rainbow Ballroom to customers on a designated route, in a timely manner. The driver will have use of a specially equipped meal transportation van. The Delivery Driver, will report to the Kitchen Manager and will work as part of the team providing a Meals on Wheels (MOW) service, operating from The Rainbow Ballroom. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist the Kitchen Manager with planning of designated routes for meal deliveries depending on customer locations • Stocking up of van with meals, on a daily basis • Checking in on customers when delivering meals and providing a ‘friendly-face’ as part of a community service initiative • Ensuring the delivery van is maintained in good working order (incl. filling of diesel, etc.) and completing maintenance log of the van as necessary • Ensuring all areas of the van are maintained to a high standard of hygiene • Undertake any other necessary duties as directed by the Kitchen Manager This Position Requires • Full, clean current drivers licence essential • Garda Vetting will be necessary
