About this role

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Critical Care Outreach Service, to work with us as we progress our launch of the Martha's Rule, Call for Concern Service. This has been a fantastic extension of our service, enabling patients and their loved ones to have direct access to assistance when they need it most.

The successful applicant will be working with the service lead/ Matron to ensure we are able to collect, accurately measure and present data collated from delivery of the service, as well as help create newsletters and updates.

Right to Work in the UK: This role is not available for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to support in the successful role out and establishment of the 3 Components of Martha's Rule, as part of the Call for Concern Service at Dorset County Hospital NHSFT. This will be achieved through provision of an administrative service to the CCOT/ H@N Lead ANP/ Critical Care Matron and CCOT/ H@N clinical team. Particular focus will be on the inputting of data relating to Martha's Rule- Call for Concern Service, into the electronic database (Medicus), alongside preparation for and role out of a Trust wide wellness scoring system.

The post-holder will be crucial in supporting the process of reporting the outcomes of implementing the Call for Concern service both at Trust and National level.

To provide a comprehensive clerical and administrative service to CCOT/ H@N and to members of the team in order to assist in the achievement of departmental objectives. On occasion this may also extend to include Critical Care and only if key objectives are met.

Person Specification

Education, Qualifications and Training Essential

Educated to GCSE Grade C, including English and Maths NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in relevant subject

Knowledge and Experience Essential

Recent previous experience with a comparable role within a customer focused/ health care environment Recent previous experience of arranging meetings for others and diary management Knowledge of administration and/ or office procedures

Skills and Abilities Essential

Keyboard and typing skills Evidence of good communication skills, both verbal and written including minute taking skills Demonstrated ability at exercising tact and diplomacy Computer literate with an ability to navigate around various systems and software packages including MS Office, Outlook, the internet, and databases Demonstrates excellent customer care and telephone skills and has an ability to apply attention to detail
