Job summary
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic health care assistant to work as part of a team on ward 4 in the Princess of Wales Hospital.
Ward 4 is a speciality ward caring for patients with acute cardiology and endocrine problems. It is a busy and fast paced environment where the whole strive to ensure excellent and safe care is delivered to all patients.

This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Main duties of the job
Provision of care to patients with medical conditions- mainly cardiology and endocrine under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. Work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients with support and supervision provided by a registered health care professional. Undertake personal care activities and tasks as delegated by a registered healthcare professional, in accordance with the HEIW All Wales Guidelines for Delegation. Ensure the registered healthcare professional is regularly updated on the patient's/client's condition and improvement/deterioration. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the healthcare setting and appropriate storage of stock items.

The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements.
