Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiology assistant to join our expert team with the main purpose of supporting our patients throughout their time within the department, and preparing them prior to their imaging and or procedures.
There may be a requirement for rotation between all Radiology departments at South Tees NHS Hospital sites if necessary, however this role is primarily based at the Friarage site.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team, where our purpose is to deliver seamless, high quality and safe healthcare for all.
Duties will include:
Patient cannulation and preparation for imaging. Assisting Radiographers, Sonographers and Radiologists in maintaining an efficient work flow,. Assisting Advanced Practitioner Radiographers and Radiologists with Interventional procedures. Assisting Advanced Practitioner Radiographers and Radiologists during Fluoroscopic examinations. Level 1 in Maths and English NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare Care or equivalent experience in Healthcare setting
