Job SummaryYou will serve as a Financial Management Analyst (Travel Lead) in the Employee Services Division, Comptroller Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-09/10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:researching, interpreting, and analyzing governing directives such as the Financial Management Regulations and Joint Travel Regulations. Examples of qualifying experience may include: a comprehensive knowledge and use of the Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF); proficiency in the use of the Defense Travel System (DTS) and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP); and utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, and graphic design applications to maintain records and prepare chats, graphs, and narrative reports for management. Major DutiesYou will serve as the Travel Lead responsible for the implementation of all rules, regulations, and policies relating to travel at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport.You will analyze financial data on travel reports and provide various financial and business process metrics.You will provide subject matter expertise regarding interfaces between Defense Travel System (DTS) and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) system.You will maintain quarterly budgets and lines of accounting within DTS and be responsible for certifying invoices for payments made against the Centrally Billed Account.You will review funding, network activities, and customer order information to determine if funding is available for travel.You will represent NUWCDIV Newport in the Warfare Center Community of Interest (COI) focus groups for travel processes.
