Job SummaryAre you a graduating student or a recent grad? Join our Pathways Recent Graduate Program! This one-year program offers professional and technical training, mentoring and developmental opportunities. This position is in the General Services Administration (GSA), Office of the Deputy Administrator, Project Management Office (PMO) for the Technology Modernization Fund (TMF). We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

The GS-09 salary range starts at $70,623.00 per year. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Candidates must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes: Researching, gathering, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative information to support program or administrative operations. Evaluating program or administrative activities and recommending solutions. Monitoring program or project activities and preparing reports or briefing materials. Coordinating meetings, conferences, or other organizational activities. Preparing correspondence, reports, agreements, or other written documents. OR EDUCATION: Master's (or equivalent graduate degree) or have completed 2 years of progressively higher graduate education leading to a Master's or equivalent degree. OR COMBINATION: Combination of graduate education and specialized experience that when combined fulfills the requirements.

Major DutiesLocated within the Office of the Deputy Administrator, this position is situated in the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Technology Modernization Fund (TMF). The TMF is responsible for assisting agencies applying for TMF funding to advance their modernization initiatives, providing guidance across every stage of the proposal development process, from initial concept creation to the final award. As an Operations Investment Specialist, you will: Support performance of studies requiring evaluation and identification of a variety of operational problems, evaluating alternative solutions, identifying potential actions, and preparing reports or briefings. Use qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to research and gather information and applicable work methods and procedures to meet deadlines. Assist in monitoring and evaluating assigned programs and initiatives, performs basic tracking and analysis of program data, and prepares reports to support program operations and established goals and objectives. Assist higher-graded specialists with meetings, conferences, and other organizational events. Draft routine written documents and/or Interagency Agreements (IAAs) and supports communication of business practices and processes.RequirementsIf selected, you must meet the following conditions: Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C or Non­Career SES employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the HR Office. Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service. Register with the Selective Service, if you are a male born after 12/31/1959. Serve an one year trial period, if required. Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 2 investigation level). Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA employee. We will use the Department of Homeland Security's e-Verify system for this. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment. Signed participant agreement is required for employment under this Program.
